About Us:

Gastroenterology of the Rockies is a rapidly growing Gastroenterology practice in Boulder County and the greater Denver Metro area. This expanding practice is looking for a full time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Endoscopy team at our facilities in Boulder County. 30-40 hours per week (10 hours per shift) on a flexible schedule. Gastroenterology of the Rockies will consider W-2 or 1099 for this position.

Position overview:

The CRNA is an advanced practice registered nurse who coordinates and provides pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care to those patients undergoing endoscopic procedures utilizing anesthesia. The CRNA will be responsible for monitoring and evaluation of these patients until they are discharged from the surgery center. 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of patients condition and with consultation and guidance from providers,
  • Formulates patient-specific plan for anesthesia care,
  • Observes condition of patient during surgical procedures, initiates remedial measures to prevent any adverse conditions as required,
  • Informs physician of patients condition and supportive needs during anesthesia,
  • Accompanies patient to recovery area and remains until patient's immediate condition is acceptable,
  • Prepares procedure room, checks anesthesia machine, supplies, medication and gases

Requirements:

  • Master's degree and current CRNA license in the State of Colorado,
  • Board Certified NBCRNA and Two (2) year related experience,
  • Has the ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels of the organization and with clients
  • Ability to work in an EMR environment
  • Flexible schedule weekday schedule; no nights, weekends, or call
  • Have a positive attitude, be a team player, and perform duties in a professional manner
