Project Manager

The FUNL Project Manager (PM) is a key role in driving the success of our projects and teams. The PM manages client projects, providing both day-to-day strategic contributions, tactical execution and developing team cohesion. Core PM responsibilities are to ensure that operations run smoothly and to handle the unexpected with grace and sound decision-making. Key functions include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope, overseeing all aspects of projects. The PM will set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor, and summarize the progress of projects against milestones and deliverables. The PM will provide both formal reports and ongoing updates for clients regarding the status of the project. The successful candidate will work directly with FUNL leadership and clients to ensure that deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will be in contact with team members daily to ensure all aspects of each project are on track to overdeliver.

While the bulk of your work will be to ensure the smooth running of projects, there is an opportunity to get involved in the project work itself as well. If you have knowledge of digital marketing and ad operations; analytics, technology platforms, and reporting; and have any experience with statistics or as a business analyst, there is a lot of opportunity for professional growth. Even if your experience in these areas is limited, we are looking for someone with the curiosity and drive to learn new disciplines, tools, and techniques, to continually learn and contribute in new ways.  

This role will report to FUNL COO. 


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation

  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques such as monday.com, airtable, etc.

  • Report and escalate to management as needed

  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project

  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels

  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals

  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members

  • Use and continually develop leadership skills

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

  • As needed, based on skillset and learning - provide ad operations support to digital marketing campaigns; research, configure and manage technology tools and platforms; conduct analysis of campaigns and projects to provide insights.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Proven working experience in project management for 3-5 years

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Drive, G-Suite, Slack, time-tracking tools, project management SaaS products, and other relevant tools. 

  • Will need to provide references with relevant experiences.
