Mental Health | Richmond, VA | Part Time
Duties and Responsibilities: The Licensed Clinician is responsible for the management and day-to-day operations of the clinical services and providing clinical supervision and leadership to Intensive In-Home and/or Mental Health employees.
Be available to employees on an on call basis to assess or assist in emergencies and aid in problem solving when
necessary. Facilitate weekly and /or monthly clinical supervision and support employees with performance of their duties.
Ensure that all clinical employees are operating within state regulatory guidelines and that compliance standards are
followed accurately. Plan and provide clinical training. Complete initial and comprehensive assessments, review monthly
and quarterly reports, complete re-authorizations, and ensure documentation for case discharge is complete. Coordinate
and assist in the development of Individualized Service Plans, objectives and methods necessary for providing effective
services to consumers. Provide clinical services as appropriate. Facilitate and participate in networking with community
agencies to ensure service linkage, plan aftercare and advocate for service recommendations. Ensure the maintenance of
consumer rights and investigate and report any allegations of abuse and or neglect.

A passion for behavioral health programs and play an active role in the development and implementation stages
of each program.
An understanding of business growth and have the ability to grow programs by connecting with vendors and/or
Ability to meet quarterly goals.
To work closely with executive management and have excellent communication skills.
The ability to exercise independent thinking and good judgment under all circumstances.
The ability to make recommendations on changes to policies and procedures to the Executive Director.
An excellent understanding of DBHD’s regulations and policy and the ability to keep abreast of current federal
and state regulation changes.
Participate in the quality improvement process of the organization
Review and develop of plan of correction for DBHD’s audits.
Lead the clinical direction of community based programs
Has the ability to lead and train a team.
Provide supervision to licensed eligible staff
Strong assessment writing skills with the capability of handling MCO authorizations denials and appeals
Capable of assisting with the on boarding process
Education and Experience:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor (Required)
Four years of experience providing mental health treatment to adults and children
Two years of experience providing clinical supervision to treatment staff
Two years of progressively responsible experience in the area of program design and development, program
management, and staff supervision
Licensed to provide clinical services by the State of Virginia.
