BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE / SALES SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

·         Search public databases and public reports to identify new business

·         Establish contact with new business opportunities via various means

·         Create proposals for existing customers to better help them with their business while utilizing company products

·         Place outbound calls to existing clients, prospective clients, and procurement professionals

·         Accept inbound calls from existing clients, prospective clients, and procurement professionals

·         Directly responsible for gathering intelligence for proposal efforts for new business

·         Maintain database of opportunities and efforts to pursue those opportunities

·         Fully report progress each week to CEO

·         Work directly with the CEO on business development each day


QUALIFICATIONS FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

·         Bachelor's degree in marketing or business management (preferred but not required)

·         Background in hospitality preferred

·         2+ years in a lead-generation field

·         2+ years extensively using a CRM system

·         Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly regarding verbal communication on phone/video teleconference calls

·         Strong written communication skills

·         IMPERATIVE – must be able to work independently and keep meticulous notes in the company’s CRM

·         IMPERATIVE – must be exceptionally detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines

·         IMPERATIVE – must be comfortable creating one’s own solutions to old and new problems.

·         IMPERATIVE – must be willing to study and use Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, our CRM, and other digital tools daily.  Goal is to develop these skills to an expert level, using available training resources.
