About the Role

The Payroll Manager will oversee and manage payroll operations for all Source Logistics locations nationwide. This role requires strong payroll expertise, compliance knowledge, and the ability to lead payroll processes in a fast-paced, multi-state environment. The Payroll Manager will ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with federal and state regulations, and provide payroll reporting and analysis to leadership. This position can be remote but requires up to 50% travel to our facilities across the US.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all Source Logistics locations nationwide.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Maintain payroll system and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Process multi-state payrolls including garnishments, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Audit and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy prior to submission.
  • Partner with HR and Finance to ensure alignment on employee data, benefits, and reporting.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports and analysis for leadership decision-making.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary changes.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to HR and managers regarding payroll policies and processes.
  • Manage relationships with payroll vendors and troubleshoot issues as needed.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of payroll management experience in a multi-state environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience managing payroll for a company with multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish is a must.
