We currently manage 3.9 million square feet of warehouse space, strategically located throughout the US, with facilities in Los Angeles, CA; Chicago, IL, N. Monroe, NJ; Portland, OR; Houston, TX; and Laredo, TX.

About The Role:

We are seeking a motivated intern to support our Operations/Customer Service team by developing a standardized Contract Billing Audit process. This intern will identify the elements required to conduct a customer contract billing audit and then validate the process by conducting an actual customer audit by using the developed manual. The goal is to build a billing audit process to identify contract adherence gaps and revenue improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Interview customer service and accounting experts to gain understanding of key requirements they expect in the billing audit manual.
  • Take SME feedback and research best in class processes for billing audits to build the framework for the audit.
  • Meet with actual customer service team members to watch the manual and systemic activities it takes to process a customer bill. The purpose of this review is to gain understanding of the process and then having the ability to make continuous improvement suggestions.
  • Run an audit to identify changes and overall results to understand what we expected to what information Audit actual billing vs. contract terms for select customers.
  • Build an output audit report with key statistics to drive understanding internally at Source and for customer feedback.
  • Recommend margin improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with mentors and business leaders to drive process accountability.
  • Finalize a billing audit manual, suggested frequency of audits, training recommendation and define any suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Present your output / results to management via a presentation of results and overall intern experience.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
  • Junior or Senior level (graduating in 2025 or 2026 preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Excel and general PC/network tools.
  • Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Duration: 10–12 weeks (Summer Internship)
