In addition to its partnership with bp pulse, FreeWire and ampm, a bp subsidiary and convenience store chain with over 1,000 locations, have already deployed multiple public charging stations in the U.S. FreeWire’s regulatory affairs and policy team keeps customers up to date on federal, state, and utility incentive opportunities, which in some cases cover up to 80% of the cost of the charging station, and the company recently announced that the Boost Charger is Buy America compliant. CAD Designer
Longmont, CO 

Responsibilities:

• Provide computer aided design (CAD) drafting using Creo Parametric
• Transforms Electric Vehicle supply equipment product design concepts into working data using Creo
• Prepares drawings of various mechanical parts, electrical wiring harnesses, and schematics derived from specifications and product requirements
• Utilizes various software tools to prepare other technical drawings and documentation
• Interfaces with Engineers and provide CAD design support from project inception
• Create prototype and production released drawings
• Initiate Engineering Change Notices (ECO) from change requests affecting specification drawings, work instructions, and other controlled documents
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of bill of materials (BOM)
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Technology
• 5+ years’ experience in complex electrical system packaging design
• Proficient with Creo Parametric, specifically Sheet Metal & Cabling
• Proficient in the use of Arena and Windchill PLM
• Deep understanding of the applications of ANSI Y14.5M standard
• Design experience using sheet metal, extrusion, and injection molding processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience with Creo Harness Manufacturing Extension "HMX"
• Proven track record designing mechanical solutions for power electronic devices
• Experience in Electric Vehicle supply equipment product design
