In addition to its partnership with bp pulse, FreeWire and ampm, a bp subsidiary and convenience store chain with over 1,000 locations, have already deployed multiple public charging stations in the U.S. FreeWire’s regulatory affairs and policy team keeps customers up to date on federal, state, and utility incentive opportunities, which in some cases cover up to 80% of the cost of the charging station, and the company recently announced that the Boost Charger is Buy America compliant. Account Executive
location: Remote

FreeWire Technologies is seeking an Account Executive (AE) to join our team. The Account Executive will have strong experience with the of the sales process from prospecting through contract negotiation — experience with contract negotiation is a differentiating and highly attractive attribute.The AE will develop and deliver customer-specific presentations, quantifying the value of the product, demonstrating an understanding of the financial factors impacting the customer, and have a verifiable track record of supporting a Sales lead in closing enterprise deals. Always hustling, the AE will contribute to lead generation and qualification, and work with Marketing to target events and generate specific content needed to generate high quality leads in each customer vertical or region. The AE will also support a Sales Director in engaging new and adjacent markets for entry. The AE will be committed to developing their market, improving their sales expertise, and collaborating with a larger team to promote overall company sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Direct customer engagement from prospecting through contract
  • Understand the broader energy and power landscape, including EV charging and off grid power
  • Work closely with bid/grant team to prepare customer applications for competitive bids and public grant programs.
  • Remain knowledgeable of trends in EV Market and constantly relating nuance from customer engagement to other teams internally
  • Ability to articulate and scope software requirements for each customer segment
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop winning account strategies — specifically with SDRs in lead generation and Sales Directors in closing enterprise accounts
  • Understand market trends and competitive landscape
  • Remain attuned to new product opportunities and market segments to be shared with broader sales, marketing, regulatory, and product teams
  • Flexibility to the changing priorities of the broader sales team

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of related experience in sales or business development
  • Deftly manage a pipeline, hit quota, and provide timely and accurate forecasting
  • Qualify and grow accounts and be able to identify characteristics of top prospects
  • Attention to changing customer preferences and ability to translate broader market trends for each segment as accounts grow and evolve
  • Dedication to timely documentation and reporting
  • Experience grant writing or supporting a grant/bid team
  • Experience in managing/improving sales processes - improving team performance a plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, written, and organizational skills
  • A team player able to project manage/support training of new sales reps
  • An obsession with client satisfaction – going above and beyond the expectation
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance competing feature requests, customer demands, and development resources
  • Flexibility to support senior sales team across all accounts and provide support where needed, when needed.
  • Ability to work in a (very) fast-moving environment and remain calm and mission focused
