The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team at Free Motion. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist in patient care, and support our mission of enhancing patient mobility and quality of life. Job Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans based on patients' individual needs.
- Conduct patient assessments and document progress in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and rehabilitation methods to support recovery.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the therapy space and ensure all equipment is sanitized and in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with both patients and team members about progress and treatment adjustments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation techniques and patient care strategies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare providers.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with specialized therapy techniques or populations (e.g., geriatric, sports rehabilitation).
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Interest in participating in community outreach events and programs.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and training.
