Physical Requirements: 

Summary of Position: 

The Senior Manager of Retail Communications is one of the main conduits between our Corporate and Retail populations, ensuring team-members are informed, engaged, and empowered.  In role, this person will be responsible for maintaining the Retail communications calendar including editing, distributing and updating all global internal communications to U.S, Canada and Australia Morphe Retail stores, while advising the U.K and Europe team, managing and collecting communications requests from cross-functional partners (including operational updates), and ensuring deadlines are met. On top of maintaining the regular rhythm of information, the Retail Communications Senior Manager is also responsible for creating and supporting the delivery of executive presentations, speeches, talking points and conference content. They will act as the retail representative in close partnership with department heads to ensure consistent, cohesive and concise messaging is delivered to our Retail population.

 

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Manage implementation and execution of the Global Retail Communications program. Create, develop, customize, and distribute global communications to all US, Canada and Australia field teams, while advising the U.K and Europe team, to keep teams inspired and engaged. Maintain a pulse on communication and engagement trends and strategies for continuous Retail experience improvements. (30%)
  • Create and manage Retail cross-functional editorial calendar, communications request process and templates, and necessary systems to ensure a consistent message and direction is communicated to the Retail team. Help Retail team decipher and stay in touch with company initiatives including new product launches and marketing pushes and promo strategies. Identify and communicate relevant processes, procedures and policies to the Field. (15%)
  • Influence and advise Forma Brands department leaders, up to the executive level, to ensure global Brand initiatives incorporate retail population considerations and ensures alignment across all channels. Drive narratives around the Brand mission and initiatives, ensuring all relevant and appropriate Brand information is communicated to the field (20%)
  • Lead the annual Field Leadership Conference; bring the Field Leadership teams together to drive engagement and alignment on company initiatives. Work alongside executive leadership on presentation content ensuring a cohesive conference theme and messaging (10%)
  • Develop executive talking points, speeches and memos, supporting the VP of Retail Sales and Operations (5%)
  • Develop methods of collecting store feedback process with corporate partners and the field, sharing results and learning to help inform decision making (5%)
  • Create, edit, and wordsmith Store Policy and Procedures ensuring all Morphe documents and communications follow Brand Standards. Create FAQ’s and tools to support store teams navigate complex initiatives and crisis events (5%)
  • Manage bulletin board strategy and content; support retail store contest, swag and recognition programs (5%)
  • Partner with the Global Communications team to support weekly newsletter and all company communications (5%)

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing or related work experience
  • Minimum 5 years corporate retail communications experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform autonomously, with limited oversight
  • Ability to manage changing circumstances and priorities with tight timelines
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of industry trends
  • Strong background in operations and logistics, and ability to execute events ranging in size
  • Demonstrated process development implementation experience
  • Excellent time management, planning, delegation, follow-up and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Great work ethic and must be organized, and adept at prioritizing and juggling multiple tasks at once to deadlines
  • Effective problem solver, leader and sound decision maker; proactive approach to all tasks and shows initiative to drive results
  • Must have a positive attitude, flexible and the ability to work and communicate with all levels of management
  • Ability to achieve results by influencing, motivating and inspiring others effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships with internal and external partners effectively
  • Comfortable in front of executive leadership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Background in Photoshop, InDesign desired
  • Willingness to travel


Travel Requirements: 

  • Up to 20%
