Summary of Position: 

The Post-Production Producer will oversee all elements of post-production including creative development, management of the external third-party vendors including retouchers and video editors, internal and influencer review and feedback, and final file delivery. The position requires an individual who is highly organized, a creative problem solver, and a great communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills.

The Post-Production Producer will work closely with the production team to ensure a seamless transition from in-the-field production to post-production. 

Additionally, the Post-Production Producer will be responsible for the management of the DAM, making sure best practices, organization and management of all content is properly maintained.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Project manage all brand photo and video post-production within timeline and budget. 
    • Initiate and facilitate meetings to extract key information such as: vision for the final output and identifying key stakeholders and approvers. 
    • Organize, facilitate and lead post-production meetings with creative team, influencers, and external vendors
    • Act as central hub of communication between internal creative team, influencers, and external post-production vendors, as well as between creative team and cross-functional departments
    • Manage post-production schedules to ensure timely delivery at various approval stages
    • Manage post-production project budget to ensure expenses are in-line.
    • Oversee quality control of retouching, visual cuts, and other assets for delivery
  • Supervise on the allocation of post-production work between internal and external post-production partners 
    • Determine the most effective allocation of work between multiple post-production partners (internal and extrenal), considering skill set, turnaround time, and budget
    • Provide instructions and guidance to all post-production partners
    • Provide constructive feedback to develop internal retouchers and to improve relationships with external partners
    • Collaborate with Director of Creative Services & Production on any pain points with internal retouchers to inform performance reviews
  • Supervise on the allocation of post-production work between internal and external post-production partners 
    • Determine the most effective allocation of work between multiple post-production partners (internal and extrenal), considering skill set, turnaround time, and budget
    • Provide instructions and guidance to all post-production partners
    • Provide constructive feedback to develop internal retouchers and to improve relationships with external partners
    • Collaborate with Director of Creative Services & Production on any pain points with internal retouchers to inform performance reviews
  • Build procedures and protocols as needed that support content production plans for both on-figure and product post-production.  Aid in improving departmental procedures, standards, best practices, guidelines and other aspects of post-production. 
    • Identify inefficient workflows and provide solutions to streamline.
    • Identify, communicate and evolve best practices, standards and workflows for post-production processes
    • Effectively problem solve any technical, logistical and communication issues related to post- production
    • Collaborate with internal retouchers and producers to develop Standard Operating Procedure documents.
  • Oversee and consult on the use of post-production software 
    • Develop and maintain the proper organizational structure and workflow for the use of GlobalEdit as our select and approval tool.
    • Develop and maintain the proper organizational structure and workflow for the use of Wrike as the asset allocation and tracking tool for product photography
    • Remain abreast of developing software and evaluate on relevance with our needs
  • Oversee the maintenance and organization of the internal asset management system 
    • Collaborate closely with IT on developing the appropriate DAM platform
    • Collaborate cross functionally and with Director of Creative Services & Production to develop an organizational structure and workflow for the DAM that would accommodate the needs of all cross-functional teams
  • Ability to retouch files directly 
    • Retouch any rush files if needed.


Required Skills & Experience: 

  • 5+ years of post-production and/or production experience in media and/or advertising agency
  • Detail-oriented self-starter, comfortable working both individually and in a team setting
  • Highly organized, diligent, and possessing a calm approach to unforeseen changes in project scopes and/or requirements
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of photo/video industry, as well as digital file formats and asset organization
  • Takes feedback well and continually adapts to changing needs
  • Has the ability to multi-task and work under tight and competing deadlines
  • Software Skills: Apple OS + Apps, Google Apps, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Fluency in Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve a plus
  • Knowledge of camera, lighting, and sound equipment a plus
