Summary of Position:

As Wholesale Account Manager for FORMA Brands key wholesale account partners, this role is responsible for the growth and success of our retailer partnerships and distribution. Across a limited number of critical accounts spanning the UK & Ireland with potential to span into EMEA, you will be responsible for increasing brand and awareness, market share and ranking.  The role also involves partnering with the Retail & Education Director and Education Manager to maximise the impact of Beauty Artists in our flagship doors.

Principle Accountabilities:

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT (35%)

  • Full P&L accountability for defined wholesale accounts, including sales plan, brand growth, market share, and gross margin
  • Create and implement wholesale customer plans to deliver brand vision, sales and budgeted growth objectives
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with all buyers and stakeholders, and lead retailer strategy meetings to proactively deliver positive outcomes for all. Ensure all internal stakeholder functions contribute positively to retailer meetings.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of in-store activities that drive brand awareness, growth and sales
  • Define productive assortments per retailer aligned with brand strategy, analysing category success and reacting to trends
  • In partnership with VM, ensure the flawless execution of merchandising in store, to ensure maximised sales and visual brand impact
  • Partner with the Director, Retail & Education and any local sales managers to ensure Beauty Artists represent FORMA Brands effectively in-store, delivering an enhanced brand experience whilst achieving all sales targets and KPIs 

MARKETING (25%)

  • Negotiate and implement strong trade marketing plans with strategic retailers focussing on an omni-channel experience in line with brand and business objectives.
  • Partner with retailers to understand best practices and opportunities with their customers and platforms.
  • Analyse KPIs including return-on-investment on all campaigns and opportunities
  • Full ownership of marketing budgets per retailer
  • Partner with internal local and global teams to capitalise on opportunities to drive sales and raise awareness
  • Partner with local and global influencer, PR and social teams to identify opportunities to drive wholesale account sales and increase brand awareness through relevant channels

FORECASTING & PLANNING (20%)

  • Accurately forecast sales, inventory needs and profit of the brand across key accounts, with support from the local and global Operations teams
  • Management of wholesale account inventories, partnering with Operations to ensure OTIF replenishment and merchandising
  • Supporting EU Operations team to deliver target OTIF for wholesale partners
  • Partner with Planning team on building accurate SKU-level forecasts on core and newness, providing business insights to inform decisions

 BUSINESS DEVLEOPMENT (10%)

  • Support on effective negotiation of multi-year wholesale account contracts, delivering profitable business growth by following the company forecasting and financial planning process
  • Support on the execution of premium space execution in-store, in line with the FORMA Brands vision, to ensure sales, profits and share of voice are maximised and all FORMA accounts deliver the brand’s visual impact aspirations

REPORTING (10%)

  • Weekly sales reporting across all accounts, including SKU-level forecast and sell-out data
  • Track and report on applicable KPIs, defining and utilising insights to build continued brand awareness, growth, sales and ranking
  • Monitor EPOS performance to spot trends and insights, to inform future programme of brand activity
  • Deliver all relevant sales reporting, including weekly, quarterly and annual.  Update sales forecasts in line with FORMA Brands schedules and maintain budgets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Partner with Vice President Wholesale & Senior Wholesale Manager to identify new wholesale accounts, in line with the FORMA Brands expansion strategy

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • Proven experience in managing key strategic accounts within a fast-paced, retail environment essential, preferably within beauty and/or colour cosmetics.
  • Prior experience in partnering Boots and Selfridges at a national account level strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with Europe, Middle East, Russia and other expanding markets highly advantageous
  • Prior experience of successfully project managing the roll-out of new bricks & mortar wholesale partnerships advantageous.
  • An exceptional negotiator, with proven commercial acumen and extensive prior management of sales plans and budgets.
  • Highly creative with a keen sense of brand and industry awareness, and the ability to create and deliver effective marketing plans.
  • Sound understanding of marketing and merchandising, with the proven ability to manage and deliver sales through wholesale partners.
  • Must possess strong management, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with field employees.
  • An affinity to the brand position and vision and the ability to communicate that effectively to others.
  • Highly analytical, with advanced Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent MS Word, PowerPoint skills essential, as well as presentation and project management skills.
  • Experience in a dynamic, high-growth, stand-alone role preferred.
  • Relevant degree in business or marketing preferred.

Travel Requirements: 

May include some travel within the EU when safe to do so.

Physical Requirements:
