Software Integration Engineer

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for integrating S/W baselines for current systems and future states.
• Analyzes, develops, tests and modifies hardware and/or software interfaces and solutions to meet the user’s systems analysis and/or systems integration requirements. Coordinates with user to identify data availability, report requirements, and systems design problems. Defines system objectives and prepares system design specifications to meet user requirements and satisfy interface problems. Reviews work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and user standards, and progress in accordance with schedules. Prepares status reports and presentations on task performance to clients. May provide daily supervision and direction to support staff.
• Must maintain disciplined S/W release control and configuration management.
• Be able to coordinate with DoD Cyber methodology and standards and work within a Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Work will be performed primarily on-site but there is a possibility of some remote work (approximately 20%).
• The work location is Charleston, SC, with 0-5% travel expected.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or in a relevant IT major. In lieu of a degree, an abundance of real work experience with a Sec+ certification will be considered.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Current DoD SECRET minimum security clearance preferred or the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance is required. A SECRET level security clearance is required as military base and facility access is critical, and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Must pass a background check at hire.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience in Software Integration, Design and Development with Linux/RHEL/CentOS.
• Additional experience with as many of the following is a plus: Common Firmware Environment (CFE), Matlab, Python, Java, RaptorX, Golang, and Kubernetes.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED (but not required) QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Software algorithm development experience
• Prior DCGS or Military experience
