Senior Solutions Architect - IT Modernization

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, build, and present comprehensive IT modernization solutions leveraging Red Hat technologies like Openshift Virtualization and Ansible Automation pipelines.
• Support the development and implementation of complex IT solutions to achieve infrastructure modernization objectives.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to customers, fostering long-lasting relationships.
• Discover and analyze customers' business and technical challenges, connecting them to and assisting with the deployment of appropriate Red Hat solutions that move to fully hardware-agnostic on-premise solutions.
• Deliver expertise through whitepapers, presentations, and knowledge sharing with team members.
• Ensure excellent customer experience by working closely with product, engineering, and professional services teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant IT major. In lieu of a degree, extensive real-world experience with relevant certifications will be considered.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a solutions architect, consultant, or in a relevant role, preferably in enterprise-class business technology.
• Expertise in UNIX or Linux systems, particularly Red Hat platform offerings.
• In-depth knowledge of open-source hybrid cloud solutions such as OpenStack and OpenShift.
• Familiarity with technologies like clustering, directory services, and identity management.
• Hands-on experience with system automation and orchestration technologies such as Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Satellite, or similar tools like Puppet, Chef, and Salt.
• Strong understanding of emerging technology areas including cloud platforms, DevOps, microservices, container management, orchestration, automation, and virtualization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to build relationships at technical, management, and executive levels.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with container and container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform experience being a plus.
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or similar industry certifications are highly desirable.

• Capability to automate installation and configuration of operating systems and software.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements and compliance including DISA STIG and RMF controls.
• Ability to provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) support, troubleshoot issues, and validate solutions.

LOCATION:

• Charleston, SC with 5-10% expected travel.
