RESPONSIBILITIES:

USMC Logistics Subject Matter Expert. Performs as a senior member of a team developing and deploying USMC C5ISR systems worldwide.

Coordinates with systems design team and users to identify logistics data availability, develop logistics documentation and fielding schedules, and produce logistics reports. Develops and reviews logistics work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept & Navy and USMC standards, supports systems test events, and tracks progress to deliver in accordance with systems fielding schedules. Prepares status reports and presentations on task performance to clients. May provide daily supervision and direction to support staff.

The work location is Charleston, SC, with 0-10% travel expected.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

BS degree from a 4-year institution in a related field that meets the following accreditation requirements:

(i) To ensure that postsecondary education possessed by individuals meet an acceptable level of quality, educational degrees shall come from accredited institutions or programs. See www.ed.gov for more accreditation information. At a minimum, to receive Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master (MS), and Doctorate (PhD) graduate credit, all degrees shall come from an institution that has been regionally accredited by one of the six associations: Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), Higher Learning Commission (HLC), New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission of Colleges (SACSCOC), and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Senior College University Commission (WSCUC).

(ii) Applied/Natural Science, Computing, Engineering, and Technology postsecondary (undergraduate) degrees (BS, BA, or Associate of Science (AS)) shall be from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program (see www.abet.org).

(iii). Technology degrees do not qualify as Engineering or Physical Science Degrees.

The candidate must have, at a minimum, a current active SECRET clearance.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

General: Seven (7) years of experience in Department of Defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include: logistics management, principles, practices, and processes. USMC Logistics experience is preferred. Experience shall include at least four (4) years of support with C5ISR or similar systems, to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and Developing Logistics Management Plans and Guidelines. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.

Specific Experience: Individual shall have Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Foundational/Level 2; demonstrate/specify equivalent life cycle logistics training; or possess an additional two (2) year (i.e., total 9 years minimum experience) working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED (but not required) QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Prior Military service; USMC Logistics experience preferred.
