Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Information Assurance/Cyber Security Professional shall protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. This includes providing for restoration of information systems by incorporating protection, detection, and reaction capabilities. This position has the responsibility to lead an assigned team of both internal staff and subcontractors to execute technical and operational cybersecurity capabilities. The position is a combination of technical delivery and team leadership. The position will be required to control and track performance goals in terms of costs, schedules, and resources.

TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Analyze networks to identify vulnerabilities and reduce breaches
  • Develop and implement scanning and certification plans for network control and maintenance
  • Document existing and proposed information architecture to convey compliance, problems, and solutions
  • Provide Information Assurance related documentation (C&A Plan, Vulnerability Management Plan, DIARMF Implementation Plan, System Security Plan, and Contingency Plan)
  • Resolve incidents and breaches, mitigating problems, and informing key personnel
  • Develop and maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts
  • Direct interaction with federal government stakeholders and accrediting authorities
  • Support government IA representatives to achieve software security using STIGs, IAVA, ACAS and other IA software tools with the greatest functionality
  • Analyze a system’s security posture via the use of automated tools and manual review of DoD Software Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Automated tools will include: Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) utilities, Nessus, and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Work with government personnel to ensure compliance with all current IT & cybersecurity policies, including those pertaining to Cyber Asset Reduction and Security (CARS).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a B.S. in Computer Science, IT or applicable engineering or science field
  • 6+ years of experience with operational information technology environments
  • 5+ years of experience with system and network vulnerability analysis, risk assessment and risk mitigation analysis, security test and evaluation (ST&E), contingency planning, firewall policy, ports, and protocols
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and implementing a Cybersecurity plan for a new operational system resulting in an ATO and/or ATC
  • Familiarity with the DoD Critical Program Protection (CPI) process
  • Compliant with DoD 8570.1 -M and DoDD 8570.1
  • Minimum certifications equivalent to IAT Level II, including Security+ and Network+ and/or IAM Level II, including CISSP
  • Must have current active SECRET clearance
