The candidate:

Fairmont High School is seeking the services of a suitably qualified Natural / Life Sciences educator on a fixed term contract (with the possibility of permanent appointment) to start on 1 January 2026. The successful candidate would be required to teach Natural Sciences (Gr 8-9) and Life Sciences (Gr 10-12). Prior teaching experience is required.

Studies, skills and experience:

  • A university graduate teaching qualification up to Grade 12 level is essential (post graduate studies in a related field is an advantage).
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent teaching experience up to Grade 12 is strongly recommended.
  • Ability to use computer technology within the classroom is required.
  • Willingness to be involved in the school's extra curricular programme is essential.
