QA Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for someone with 3-5 years' experience in a Quality Assurance Role. This role is responsible for generating, maintaining, and executing quality test cases and test scripts along with a focus on enhancing the performance and quality of our applications. The QA Analyst will help to improve our QA processes to ensure that all of our work is properly tested and our QA best practices are met.

This role will be based in New York City.  We offer competitive salary, annual bonus, and stock options.


  • Ensure the quality of all products by performing functional, accessibility, cross-browser, and regression testing.

  • Work with the QA Manager and Program Management to verify all customer support tickets needing technical help are met.

  • Validate and troubleshoot reported bugs by the offshore team and clearly communicate problems and severity to appropriate Development personnel.

  • Document defect/issues in Leankit, including relevant brief descriptions of the issue with detailed steps to replicate.

  • Create test cases (Manual and Automated) and manage and process bugs reported.

  • Attend QA team check-ins with offshore team to provide status updates.

  • Advocate and implement sound website testing processes and best practices.

  • Maintain working relationships with people across different teams within ExecOnline.

  • Develop and maintain an automated test bed.


  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, high productivity environment and able to manage conflicting priorities effectively.

  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to interact with technical, business, editorial and customer service groups.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is necessary.

  • Exposure to multi-platforms, and cross-browser testing. Must be knowledgeable of trends for new browser versions and mobile devices.

  • A strong interest in the Web and end-user applications and an investigative drive to discover the underlying causes of technical problems.

  • Attention to detail, thoroughness, tenacity, and strong organizational skills are a must.

  • Familiarity with automated QA testing tools.
