We are looking for an exceptional individual with excellent communication and HR experience to join and help develop our advisory team.

The Director, Client Advisory is a new role responsible for advising Learning and Development and HR executives on how to align learning strategy (and ExecOnline solutions) to business needs.  The primary responsibility of this role is to create compelling business cases that establish new use cases for ExecOnline products and to establish yourself as a thought partner to our clients and prospects.  You will also play a key role in helping to build our new advisory function within ExecOnline founded on world-class leadership data, and best practices in digital leadership development.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Applies expansive knowledge of HR, L&D strategy and learning design, and ExecOnline data and products to support commercial goal achievement. Activities include but are not limited to:

    • Delivering valuable insights to clients that assist with clients’ ongoing decision-making about leadership development and HR strategy;

    • Uncovering new use cases for ExecOnline product by combining deep knowledge of HR with a strong understanding of clients;

    • Assisting prospects and clients in creating and delivering business cases for ExecOnline learning solutions;

    • Creating custom designs of structured and unstructured learning programs

  • Helps to develop new insight products (e.g. maturity diagnostics, best practices, vendor libraries, functional-specific products) and client deliverables (insight narratives, design collateral, data reporting) that enable our clients to make high impact decisions about learning design and strategy;

  • Acts as a cross-functional thought leader for the organization in key functional and terrain areas, and plays a leadership role in identifying insight messages and opportunities to deepen relationships with clients;

  • Acts as a thought leader to clients by providing additional value to their interactions with ExecOnline that elevates ExecOnline’s influence at their organization, including onsite presentations to key executives.

  • Supports revenue teams by:

    • Continuously participating on calls with clients to deliver new “insights” in the moment;

    • Delivering specific advisory engagements (e.g. maturity diagnostic, needs analysis);

    • Developing close consultative relationships with clients;

    • Strategizing with revenue about the best way to uncover new use cases;

    • Serving as an expert in ExecOnline products in key functional and terrain areas;

    • Creating collateral for sales team members.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will possess:

  • 8+ years of total relevant work experience

  • Minimum 4+ years of specific experience in HR consulting, best practices research and/or Organizational Design

  • High curiosity about HR best practices and business more generally

  • Passionate about utilizing talent data to inform decision-making about talent

  • Demonstrated empathy with HR executives

  • A record of outstanding academic achievement, minimum BA (but MBA or other advanced degree preferred)

  • Exceptional ability to diagnose client needs

  • Executive “presence” and gravitas; exceptional ability to communicate with executives

  • Willingness to travel an estimated 25-50% of the time

  • Strong commercial outlook and client service ethic

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills

  • Willingness to push beyond the boundaries of the job description and help define this critical function for ExecOnline
