As a Dev Intern, you'll work on a small, cohesive team that is iterating on this mass-market consumer product using cutting edge technologies.
What We Are Looking For
A CS undergrad looking for some hands-on experience at an innovative and mission-driven start-up.
As a Dev Intern you will:
Work with latest, coolest, cutting-edge technology
Get first-hand experience working with Test Driven Development (not to mention Snack Driven Development)
Participate in daily stand ups and work in 2-week sprints
Learn how product needs and technology decisions come together in a cooperative and creative work environment
Participate in all aspects of office life from weekly staff meetings to our famous food contests
Be a part of our intern program, designed to make sure your time with us is not only educational but invaluable to your future professional goals
You’ll be working with our tech stack which is:
Ruby on Rails, traditional stack.
Redis for ephemeral key-value storage (mainly session management).
MongoDB for event log.
Sidekiq for out of process jobs (email jobs, background tasks).
RSpec for test driving.
ES6/2015 transpiling via babel.js
Webpack (with a little gulp.js) for browser building and bundling.
React.js with JSX for templating and web-components.
Flux.js for unidirectional data flow.
Fluxxed_up, our open source framework for flux + react, and deterministic testing.
Mocha + Karma for front end testing (in the browser & headless).
