About the Position

Everplans is seeking a Head of Marketing who will play a critical role in driving the continued growth and direction of the company. This role is for an experienced, data-driven B2B2C marketing leader who will harness our company’s vision and strategy as it relates to growing its topline and driving ultimate business success. 

This position will be responsible for overseeing all areas of the company's marketing activities including customer acquisition and retention, demand generation, brand and awareness building, and partner development.  

Reporting to the company’s Co-Founder and Co-CEO, the Head of Marketing is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing an outstanding, highly analytical marketing organization that puts a strong emphasis on understanding our customers and their journeys.

This will be the perfect job for an experienced marketing leader who is strategic, has deep exposure to marketing analytics, and is comfortable launching new programs that are needed for success. Additionally we are looking for someone who can also roll up their sleeves in a fast-paced environment to run a highly effective marketing team that thrives on rigorous execution. 


Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day

  • Develop and execute a marketing strategy that supports our company’s overall objectives including programs to support customer acquisition, retention, end user engagement, and partner growth

  • Design and execute data-driven marketing strategies to increase market penetration, brand awareness, and leads

  • Work closely with company leadership to set revenue goals and targets, track financial performance, and strategically manage the Marketing P&L for results

  • Support the head of sales to drive the strategy and execution of B2B channel customer acquisition and activation 

  • Build a Consumer / Partner Insights function from the ground up using proven qualitative and quantitative market research practices

  • Consumer Lifecycle Marketing: Build and implement consumer retention and engagement strategies, systems, and campaigns

  • Lead, build, and motivate our growing marketing organization

  • Lead the creation and implementation of key assets to support the marketing and sales funnel

  • Oversee the development of a marketing and data tech stack to help us communicate and interact with prospects and existing customers programmatically and at scale

  • Build strong, trusting, and long-lasting relationships with current and future customers

  • Develop and steer the company’s creative direction, overall messaging and brand positioning 

  • Articulate and implement our product positioning and go-to-market strategy across all channels and product lines

  • Be responsible for the company’s marketing programs across all channels including, but not limited to, paid media, seminars, industry presentations, webinars, email marketing, SEO/SEM, social media, and content marketing

  • Work cross-departmentally with other leaders to ensure a cohesive approach to achieving company goals

  • Guide the team and cross-functional leaders to drive growth, and design systems for ongoing engagement and increasing LTV

  • Help to foster a supportive, positive, and collaborative work environment


You should already have…

  • 10+ years experience in Marketing with deep functional and team management experience

  • Background in working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a strategy in a complex B2B2C marketing environment

  • Experience translating marketing analysis and customer insights into strategies for marketing, sales, and product teams

  • Ability to drive efficient, measurable, and scalable customer acquisition and retention programs 

  • Experience with SEM/SEO, marketing automation tools (Salesforce, Pardot, etc), CRM tools, content marketing, email and social media marketing, and web analytics

  • Background in implementing progressive marketing techniques including ABM, Marketing automation, and more, for a SaaS company or comparable tech start-up a plus 

  • Experience with C-level/Board reporting, as well as reporting as a means to innovation

  • Excellent written and communication skills, superb organization, and the ability to deliver in high-pressure and fast-turnaround scenarios

  • Deep interest in connectivity within marketing community at large (other peers, service providers) as a way of expanding your own capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred 

  • A fierce belief in our product and mission; startup experience and a passion for helping others 

  • Experience with insurance and financial services is a plus
