Senior Backend Engineer

Engineering | Remote Work Opportunity | Full Time

Job Description

Evernow is fixing women’s healthcare to improve women’s lives. More than 55 million women in the U.S. are experiencing menopause symptoms, but 75% of those who seek care don’t get it.

We are working to close that care gap. Our doctors provide expert, convenient care based on the latest research. Our product team builds the platform that allows us to deliver an excellent, effective experience. With prescription delivery and unlimited access to communication with our health team, our customers get personalized, life-changing care. Join the team that will help us deliver this at scale!

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer. In this role you’ll work to develop and maintain features that power the core Evernow experience. You’ll join a growing team of people who are passionate about their craft, collaborative in their approach, and committed to building great things that improve peoples’ lives. We value clear communication, empathy, pragmatism, and a sense of humor, and we want to build a product and team culture that we’re proud of.

Our systems are built in full-stack TypeScript and make heavy use of typed functional programming. You don’t have to be an expert to apply, but familiarity with these ideas will help you succeed here.

  • Help design and implement infrastructure that power the core Evernow experience.

  • Be comfortable working in a product development environment, building from scratch.

  • Build resilient, high-quality engineered systems.

  • Be curious, quick on your feet, and good in a team environment that values collaboration.

  • Make smart tradeoffs to drive feature velocity while reducing tech debt over time.

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field or comparable experience

  • Solid understanding of backend technologies, development frameworks, server-side architecture, and containerization

  • Experience with typed functional programming, TypeScript, or both

  • Familiarity with common DevOps patterns (containerization, continuous integration & deployment, etc.)

  • Strong background and experience in using version control, participating in code reviews, and taking part in the release process

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
