Climate Change is everywhere… the latest science tells us it’s coming faster than previously thought... we see another news flash on a massive flood or huge forest fire or fast-melting glaciers… friends are buying electric cars or reducing their annual garbage output to a little mason jar (!?).
Meanwhile the rest of us are trying to survive Shelter-In-Place during a huge pandemic, ordering everything we need online, while filling our trash bins with endless cardboard and styrofoam. Ok, we all know it’s time to make a change but where do we even start? And does anything we do even make a dent into this climate change issue?
Fortunately, the answer is: YES! We as consumers are driving industries based on what we buy… if we all started buying stuff that was environmentally responsible, we could save the planet. But where do we start, how do we find affordable things that last, and who do we trust??
Everlastly is defining the future of the sustainable consumer economy, a place where consumers can enjoy the things they deserve and can rest assured that everything is produced sustainably. We publish Evergrade, a score associated with consumer products that makes it easy to know what is (and isn’t) environmentally responsible, and we feature products that score above a minimum threshold on our ecommerce store at Everlastly.com. We’re starting with home goods (you know… bed linens, kitchen appliances, pots and pans, etc.) and for launch will harness some particularly powerful behavioral mechanics in the wedding registry space.
As Head of Product you will lead the design and development of our ecommerce site including the buildout of a wedding registry feature. You will be guiding the look, feel, voice and registration process ensuring it’s compelling, easy, and in-line with our target customer’s needs. Your primary KPI is completed registries and net promoter score, and you will be responsible for optimizing the funnel to move visitors through to registration.
Additionally, you will be the owner of the catalog of products that will make up the initial offering. You’ll lead the merchandising committee (product, sustainability indexing, partner management) responsible for selecting and marketing a beautiful catalog of home goods that are environmentally sustainable.
The perfect candidate for this position has experience optimizing ecommerce websites with properties selling to a similar demographic as wedding registrants.
What You Have:
7-10 years of experience in ecommerce product management and optimization, with success stories and a few hard learnings to share; startup experience is a plus.
Successful experience using the Agile product development process.
An analytical approach to product development; you have the ability to instrument and optimize the product with a sophisticated set of metrics that are driving top level KPIs.
Organized, detail-oriented, flexible, proactive.
