Director of Ecommerce · EPONYM

The Director of Ecommerce will be responsible for overseeing/driving revenue growth of Eponym’s ecommerce business and the day-to-day management of all of its house and licensed brand websites plus their corresponding digital marketing channels.  The Director will partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the online customer experience and maximize ROI.

This position will be accountable for all digital analysis, strategy and implementation to drive sales. The candidate is expected to be both an idea generator and project manager who likes to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.  The role will involve cross-functional collaboration with Eponym’s creative, operations, planning, and sales teams. 

Eponym designs and distributes eyewear for leading fashion brands such as Alice + Olivia, Jason Wu, Billy Reid and Steven Alan.  Eponym also creates eyewear for two house brands: Classic Specs and Ottavo.



• Oversee and drive revenue growth of Eponym’s ecommerce business

• Partner with the Marketing, Planning and Design teams to develop and execute digital strategies that meet sales/inventory goals and objectives

• Responsible for Ecommerce merchandising using insights from KPI’s, multi-variable testing, and competitive research

User Experience

• Identify and communicate ideas for improved website functionality and enhanced customer experience

• Recommend and execute strategies to drive significant increased website traffic, conversion rates, revenue and profitability leveraging analytics and A/B testing

Analytics / Reporting

• Oversee management and implementation of Ecommerce budget

• Manage daily, weekly and/or monthly analytic reports that monitor website performance, traffic, and overall status

• Use analytics to identify actionable business opportunities

Digital Marketing

• Partner with Marketing to help create brand awareness and drive revenue

• Develop digital marketing plans that support key launches and sales/promotions

• Foster strategies for digital content that represents each brand’s DNA and supports product assortments

• Develop email marketing strategies that drive sales, consumer engagement/retention and support brand marketing goals

• Establish and implement customer acquisition strategies

• Manage strategic initiatives including SEO, SEM, display advertising, and affiliate marketing



• Bachelor’s Degree in related field; MBA a plus

• Must have 5+ years of experience in the fashion/luxury Ecommerce business

• Experience in creating optimal digital conversion strategies and testing pipelines (A/B and multivariate) to convert prospects into buyers

• Experience in SEO acquisition strategy, executing marketing strategies for paid and organic channels, and ROI optimization

• Proven success managing cross-functional teams and external vendors

• Understanding of online merchandising and digital marketing

• Ability to move between strategic planning and tactical execution

• Proven analytical skills with expertise in Google Analytics

• PC skills; proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
