This remote, full-time, work-from-home position reports to Episource’s Manager, Coding Quality.

Learn about the impact you’ll have at Episource:

  • Serve as a coding quality expert. As our Supervisor, Coding Quality, you’ll collaborate with clients on quality review calls and research all available sources to ensure coding quality. You’ll oversee all projects and lines of business (LOBs) related to quality, prepare and share bi-weekly vendor coding quality reports, and assist with decision-making. I also provide guidance and ongoing support to coders and communicate any issues or concerns to the management team.
  • Leverage your people skills. Maintain a positive and engaging work environment by managing a team of talented, high-performing coders through ongoing opportunities in professional development, mentorship, and coaching with the utmost sincerity, transparency, and empathy.
  • Observe with an eye for improvement. You’ll help present executive-level monthly business reviews after successfully supervising weekly, ongoing quality/accuracy reports to ensure improvement.
  • Enhance the Episource coding team. Passionate about ensuring coding quality, you always look for ways to improve the process. Partner with management to evaluate and improve the throughput and quality of the coding team. This helps reduce potential risks to Episource's clients and ensures they receive the highest quality coding possible.

What your journey at Episource will look like:

  • In your first three months at Episource, you will clearly understand project guidelines. By this time, you’ll know the right questions to ask and where to go for answers.
  • Throughout your next six months at Episource, you can navigate through Salesforce to gather the needed reports. You’ll be confident working with coders to schedule audit results by now.
  • By the end of your first year at Episource, you can work independently without supervision, pinpointing errors and trends you’re seeing. You’ll have the training to run Salesforce without any help from the team.

Here is what you’ll bring to the Expert Teams at Episource.

  • Over five years of experience in HCC auditing
  • Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience, professional certification preferred
  • Certified coder with both CPC, CRC, and completion of CPMA credential with two years of employment
  • Medicare Risk Adjustment (HCC) Auditor experience
  • Current in-depth experience in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS
  • Experienced with procedure and process development
  • Experienced in multi-specialty coding
  • Current knowledge/understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding principles
  • Compliance with HIPAA laws and regulations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of coding and HCC rules and regulations
  • Superior Communication Skills

Salary Range (or rate): $65,000 - $75,000 / year

Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, and other relevant factors. This is Episource’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position as of the time of posting.
