This remote, full-time, work-from-home position reports to Episource’s Sr. Director, Salesforce Engineering.

Learn how you’ll impact Episource:

  • Serve as a Salesforce SME. As our Sr. Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, coding, testing, and debugging of Episource’s primary MCC Salesforce instance. You will also lead the daily support and maintenance of the MCC NLP Coding UI product in Salesforce.
  • Leverage your coding skills. Proactively seek long-term improvement opportunities to ensure the product's compatibility with evolving mission requirements. Develop maintainable, scalable, and high-efficient source code that meets business requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate and communicate. Partner with internal Episource teams to deliver the required features, understand the impact of the changes and optimize the existing architecture setup.
  • Mentor and coach. Provide open, respectful, and empathetic mentoring to team members. Guide the team in anticipating future use cases and guide them to make design decisions that minimize the cost of future changes.

What your journey at Episource will look like:

  • In your first three months at Episource, you will learn about the medical coding tool's mission, features, and customer expectations. Then, you will start hands-on coding on manageable tasks and get familiar with code review processes.
  • Throughout your next six months at Episource, Dive deep into provider coding products in Salesforce and lead specific medical coding feature development. You’ll understand long-term operational improvement strategies, break complexities into reusable components, and coach and review other team members' codes.
  • By the end of your first year at Episource, you’ll deep dive into Provider Coding in Salesforce and take ownership of specific coding tasks. Collaborate with Product Director and Analyst to understand long-term operational improvement strategies, embrace Domain-Driven Design, and coach and review other team members' codes.

  • Excellent Salesforce Expertise
  • Salesforce Certification (Platform Developer I or Platform Developer II preferred)
  • Salesforce / Force.com custom development using Visualforce, Apex, LWC, Flow, Triggers, Batch Apex, Salesforce API
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Superior Communication Skills
  • Hands-on coding skills with domain-driven design knowledge
  • Proficient in OOP development, such as Java, C#, Python
  • Multiple years of software development and/or programming design and systems management

  • Background in SFDX DevOps Tools such as Copado and SFDX CLI

Salary Range (or rate): $140,000 - $176,000 / year | Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, and other relevant factors. This is Episource’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position as of the time of posting.
