Product Manager

Job Description

The Product Manager collaborates with the Product Development team in conveying a clear product vision to our customers, internal stakeholders, scrum teams and sales. The Product Manager is primarily responsible for driving a well ideated roadmap and feature set, that supports the product and our interoperability platform as a service. The Product Manager researches the market to identify new opportunities and works with end users to identify further automation and digitization of our applications.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Over 8 years of experience in Product Management or Interoperability/Integration, preferably in the healthcare or technology industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience, professional certification preferred.

  • Prior experience with a Medicare Advantage Plan, Medicaid or ACA plan

  • Strong understanding of claims/encounter, member, provider, Rx, lab, and clinical data sets

  • Previous experience with a health plan, hospital system or vendor to health plans as well as big data platforms, cloud technologies, ETL, and integration/interoperability.

  • Experience with EMR integration approaches (i.e. CCDA, XML, APIs, flat file, 3rd party vendors, etc.), EMR platforms (i.e. Allscripts, Athena, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, Epic, NextGen, Practice Fusion), and interoperability concerns (i.e. HIE, HL7/FHIR, Blue Button, Patient Access, Payer-to-Payer, TEFCA, CareQuality, etc.) is desirable.

  • Significant experience working in an Agile Software Development environment and possesses knowledge of the Product Development Lifecycle

  • SQL intermediate skills as well as BI tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, etc) and data technologies (i.e. Snowflake).

  • Experience performing competitive analysis and market research to stay on top of industry trends

  • Experience working with multiple teams/stakeholders to gather and document detailed business and technical requirements

  • Direct experience conducting process analysis, requirements definition, and use-case analysis

  • Desire to challenge the status quo, and strong focus on the voice of the customer

  • Strong organization, documentation, change management and project management skills

  • Ability to work well with teams and the ability to influence peers, scrum teams and management

  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office proficiency (MS Office-Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintain a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

  • High level of ethic, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting productivity standards.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.

  • Must be able to talk, listen, speak and view regularly

  • Limited domestic and/ or international travel to customer sites/plants, etc.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some standing, some bending, stooping and stretching, requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.

  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

  • Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required when in a clinical setting

  • Limited domestic travel may occur (i.e. to conference). Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area and overnight travel is to be expected.

Training Requirements:

  • Agile Product Owner/Manager, HL7 and Pragmatic Marketing certification preferred

  • Company compliance program modules.

  • Company safety regulations.
