Accountant

Accounting | Philippines | Full Time

Job Description

As an Accountant with our clients, you will be responsible for various accounting duties including a heavy emphasis on accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. To be successful in this role, you should have a solid working knowledge of Excel, Quickbooks, and/or general accounting software. We are looking for an Accountant who can take ownership, work independently, and is extremely organized. The Accountant will be working with US-based clients and must be able to work and respond to the clients promptly. The ideal person must be able to work some hours with overlap with the working hours of US-based teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day record keeping used for management reporting and other analytical reports
  • Preparation of client’s monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, month-end close processes, journal entries, monthly reconciliations, financial reporting, etc.
  • Implement policies and procedures that ensure adequacy of internal controls, safekeeping of assets, efficient operations, and compliance with GAAP accounting rules, as appropriate.
  • Complete any required administrative or ad-hoc work to assist the firm or other members of our team

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of accounting experience
  • Prior QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or other ERP Systems experience
  • Bachelor’s or associate Degree in business or accounting preferred
  • Proficiency with Google docs, Gmail, MS Word, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and accountability
  • Willingness to learn new things and take on additional responsibility
