Senior Account Manager

Relationship Management | Chicago, IL | Full Time

Job Description

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for leading digital projects through the agency working closely with clients and team members from initial development to completion. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the client and the project team, ensuring both sides have a shared understanding of the scope of the project, it's goals, timing, budget, and progress. You will develop and manage day-to-day client relationships and team deliverables while keeping a finger on the pulse of emerging digital trends and areas to add value internally and externally. Additionally, the Senior Account Manager will engage in pursuing new business opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner both with the clients as well as the agency

  • Act as the day-to-day agency relationship contact with clients

  • Prepare for, facilitate and lead client and project specific reviews based on KPI’s

  • Write case studies based on client work

  • Work with internal team to develop and execute business strategy that meets or transforms our client’s business

  • Manage and regularly report the status of client and project budgets

  • Ensure that projects move through the agency on-time and within budget    

  • Lead projects through all touch points and internal teams within the agency

  • Ensure work and tasks are organized and routed to internal and client team members

  • Provide exceptional service and communication to internal and client team members

  • Develop timelines and allocate resources accordingly

  • Keep projects on track through clear task lists, issue tracking, status reports and meeting notes

  • Facilitate and lead internal and client team status meetings

  • Draft and deliver scopes of work for new projects in conjunction with team leads from all disciplines

  • Lead brainstorming and presentation efforts to drive new business

  • Actively engage in growing current client relationships 

  • Identify and cultivate new business relationships 

  • Work closely with Elevate leadership to ensure current client and Elevate success

Job Skills and Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and manage revenue with clients

  • Experience working with both design and development teams on technical aspects of a project

  • Experience planning and managing Q&A testing

  • Experience working with tracking tools, to help manage technical tasks with development teams

  • Having lead teams to successful execution on various digital project types including large website builds, email marketing and website analytics

  • Ability to quickly understand business and technical processes 

  • Proficiency in project management principles and software

  • Proficiency with digital marketing initiatives including large website builds, online advertising, social media campaigns, email marketing and website analytics

  • Able to manage multiple projects and team members simultaneously

  • Strong communication, presentation, leadership and negotiation skills

  • Impeccable attention to detail

  • Ability to function independently and in a collaborative environment

  • Comfortable managing within a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Education and/or Experience

  • 4-6 years in an engagement, account or project management role

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field a plus

  • Digital agency experience a plus but not mandatory

  • PMP certification a plus but not mandatory
