Job Description:

This individual will direct a project team and is responsible for establishment and execution of project management best practices resulting in the consistent delivery on-time, on-budget initiatives that provide measurable value to Element and its clients.  Working closely with other members of the IT team to define and implement enterprise strategy and operational plans that deliver best in class technology products and services. Finally, the individual needs to be a clear communicator and have the ability to flex their style to the stake holders and team that they are working with during project engagements.

The Project Manager will partner with members of the IT and business organizations to evaluate, prioritize, and execute projects in support of business strategies. This role will be responsible for creating the budget for the project (leveraging top down and bottoms up methodology) as well as the associated work breakdown or release plans to ensure delivery of scope to the desired timelines. Also, will participate in various team meetings and subgroups and contribute the development and growth of the IT PMO (US) through participation in small groups with assigned deliverables.


  • To create and implement a strategy for the Project team that is in line with not only the department but the wider business goals.

  • Work with wider technology department such as Business Analysts and Development Team to ensure alignment with goals/objectives.

  • Ensure Project Managers have the tools and training necessary.

  • Take a hands-on approach to delivery and implementation.

  • Provides consulting support to business leaders during the ideation phase of projects and helps to determine the appropriate team structure and methodology for delivery.

  • Plans and manages the daily activities of the project team working with Product owner, stake holders, project team members, Architects, Development and QA Leads.

  • Develop and ensure compliance of IT project management policies.

  • Ensure that projects are effectively managed on time, cost, and services targets working with Product owners on trade-offs for any necessary change controls

  • Establish and actively monitors project performance through associated measurement criteria completing required project governance and financial management reporting on a weekly basis. Reports out as needed to IT Steering Committee to represent the overall project performance


Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or related fields,

  • 3 or more years of professional experience in similar leadership roles,

  • 3 to 6 years of progressive experience in the project management field specifically related to IT Software or Infrastructure projects,

  • Technical project management experience within a Software/Web development environment,

  • Experience with traditional PMBOK practices and Agile methodologies,

  • Strong leadership and management skills,

  • Agile project manager qualification, Scrum Master certified,

  • Demonstrable experience with Agile Methodologies in an organization utilizing Scrum and Kanban frameworks to delivery,

  • Must have expert knowledge in the discipline of project management including related best practices, development lifecycles and supporting tools,

  • Must have experience managing projects leveraging frameworks from Waterfall to Agile,

  • Must have experience with resource management and vendor management,

  • Ability to work positively with the full range of individuals and groups involved in the project,

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior managers, the project teams and wider business.
