Finance administrator - Level III

Location: Chantilly, VA

Clearance: Must have Top Secret with Polygraph

Hours: Day Shift

Education & Experience

  •  Associate’s Degree in finance, business administration or a closely related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year for year basis.

  • Six (6) or more years of experience performing financial records processing and financial records management.

Job Description:

The Finance Administrator will be part of a five (5) person Customer Account Team and perform as a Customer Account Manager (CAM). CAM will be a primary resource for internal and external customers. Prior experience with Service Level Agreements (SLA) is necessary for quick acclimation to work environment and pace.

Work activities include the full range of assigned financial transactions, prepare accountings, analyze source documentation, reconcile and update General Ledger accounts, perform accounts payable functions, and provide customer service and technical assistance to Agency and/or non-Agency customers.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  •       Assists in the establishment of commitments and obligations and periodically revalidate them within established guidelines and procedures.

  •       Performs the full range of financial activities and analysis to support management, staff, and customers in the office of assignment

  •       Provide general guidance to customers regarding entitlements, accounting requirements and established finance policies.

  •       Serve as the lead focal point for financial administrative issues.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be detailed oriented, as it is extremely important that the information on the MOAs and estimates are accurate.

  • Prior experience with Service Level Agreements (SLA) is necessary for quick acclimation to work environment and pace

  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to assist customers.

  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Must possess the ability to conduct research and pull data from multiple databases. 

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Prior contractual background would be a valuable experience to acclimate quicker.

  • Prior OGA financial regulations and Tenure funding.

  • Experience with Customer billing, shipping, and resource management tool.

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain customer relationships.
