Software Engineer

Maintain key systems that power CI/CD pipelines including source code control, orchestration, automation, and security. Design components to support new features and capabilities of CI/CD platform and to improve performance and availability. Design self-service solutions to empower teams to take ownership and manage the operational aspects of their applications, gather feedback on proposals to enhance products, and fine-tune to stakeholder’s requirements. Design interfaces and APIs to allow teams access to metrics for various operational-related components. Consult with Product Managers to understand business requirements and create detailed technical plans to execute projects via project tracking software. Design software systems and architect solutions to deliver scalable, high-available product requirements. Enhance existing code base by ensuring proper test coverage exists and updating existing tests to improve the development process. Troubleshoot and develop bug fixes using performance data from application performance monitors and metric collections systems and investigate and resolve alerts and incidents on the issues related to operational services affecting availability and performance. Conduct daily peer code reviews to maintain best engineering practices through GitLab control management software. Use AWS cloud services, Terraform, CI/CD processes, Git, Python, and REST APIs.

Requires: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and 2 years’ experience. Must know the following technologies: AWS cloud services, Terraform, CI/CD processes, Git, Python, and REST APIs. May work remotely. $146,363.10/yr.
