Security Associate - Garden of Eden

Retail Operations | Tracy, CA | Full Time and Part Time | From $18.00 to $20.00 per hour

About the Position:

We are looking for Security Associates who are customer service-focused. The Security Associate is responsible for granting or denying access to the Garden of Eden facility, allowing each customer entrance through the front door, performing verification of inbound and outbound people and surveilling vehicles. The Security Associate is also responsible for monitoring surveillance and security cameras, patrolling the entire licensed facility and its surrounding areas, and providing safety escorts for employees and customers. The Security Associate is constantly alert and aware of their surroundings and the general ongoings of the facility and will observe and report any suspicious activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Protect the company's assets relative to both internal and external theft, workplace violence, and other hazards and risks
  • Granting or denying access to the facility
  • Perform verification of of inbound and outbound delivery vehicles and logging all visitors
  • Monitor surveillance cameras via monitoring stations
  • Conduct foot patrol or property and surrounding area
  • Inspect building, personnel, and access points
  • Report any suspicious or unlawful activities
  • Obtain help by triggering alarms or calling local law enforcement as necessary
  • Knowledge and enforcement of all local, state and federal ordinances to maintain compliance
  • Produce detailed incident reports as necessary
  • Follow procedures for various initiatives, including all scenarios found in the Company's Workplace Violence Prevention Plan

Key Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must possess and maintain valid California guard registration (BSIS)
  • Completion of BSIS courses: Power of Arrest, First Aid, Weapons of Mass Destruction and Fire Prevention
  • Must obtain a Cannabis Employee Permit from the City of Tracy prior to performing any work
  • Consent to fingerprinting and a criminal background investigation conducted by local law enforcement
  • Must have open availability including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Two plus years or prior experience in the security field and customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as it relates to customers and/or the general public
  • Knowledge of security operations and procedures related to workplace violence
  • Emotional maturity and self-control and alertness at all times
  • Safety management and professionalism

Compensation:

  • Starting wage, depends on experience: $18-20/hour
