Position: Manufacturing and Sourcing Engineer

Location: Boulder, CO

Job Description: Seeking a full time Manufacturing Engineering to support a market leading organization developing next-generation solar racking solutions.  Looking for an experienced individual who will drive exceptional supplier relations and part quality through his/her expertise in supplier selection, supplier development, and part qualification. This role supports product engineering and validation in providing parts that consistently meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements.  The ideal candidate will have experience working with internal and external stakeholders on the coordination and execution of product launch.




  • Support product development process to reduce investment, complexities and product costs

  • Develop and maintain drawings utilizing geometric dimensioning and tolerancing best practices

  • Lead manufacturing rollout with product engineering, operations, and suppliers

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers

  • Manage request for quote and supplier selection process

  • Support supplier negotiation process

  • Drive ongoing product inspection program

  • Lead non-conformance process with cross-functional team

  • Manage revision control processes, change notices (ECN), and part/drawing releases

  • Conduct supplier assessments and initial/ongoing quality system audits

  • Conduct regular reviews with suppliers to identify improvement opportunities



Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

  • < > 2 years of design experience

    Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing role

  • Proven working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

  • Experience managing supplier relationships

  • Results oriented approach to day to day activities

  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous priorities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills
