Dishwasher

 

Position Summary: The Dishwasher position is responsible for maintaining a hygienic food preparation work station and ensuring clean scullery and dishware is in stock.

 

General Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand

• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition

• Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars

• Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas

• Sweep or scrub floors

• Clean garbage cans with water or steam

• Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks

 

Job Qualifications:

Experience:

• 6 months BOH experience required

• Previous dish washing experience preferred

 

License/Qualifications:

•WA State Food Handler’s Card (required within 10 days of hire)

•Flexible hours - on call, evenings and weekends

•Due to the numerous event locations reliable transportation is required

 

Physical Requirements:

•Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs

•Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs

•Must be able to stand and exert well paced mobility for up to 8‐hours in length
