The Holiday Basket Packaging Manager is a seasonal hire at Dog Tag Inc. The Packaging Manager is the point of contact for the packaging operations in the bakery. This person is responsible for leading a team of five to six seasonal team members to fulfill all packaging needs. Managing team relations, quality control, and organizing the classroom for the Holiday Basket Project.

This position requires availability Sunday through Thursday, from October through the end of December.

PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK

The 2024 Holiday Basket will have four main boxes for fulfillment. The offering will be strictly for sale by Dog Tag Bakery and will be a single large, medium gift box with a cookie tin mixed. We have 3500 units for sale, where 50% will likely all be pre-ordered.

Team Management

● Operate scheduling platforms and manage team schedules, attendance, and call-outs.

● Oversee training seasonal employees on the gift box packaging.

● Attend weekly Holiday basket meetings and coordinate with proper HB department leads to ensure production targets are met.

Procurement

● Coordinate the kitchen to ensure bake-off needs are met and product quantities are maintained.

● Work with the Production manager to ensure that all packaged products are organized and maintain daily quality and quantity control

● Keep inventory of all holiday basket supplies on hand and reorder as needed.

● Train and support volunteers

● Manage packaging time to meet daily production goals

EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of industry management experience, successful launch, and completion of large-scale projects and/or programs.
