Senior HR Operations Manager

The Role:

Doctor on Demand continues to grow a rapid pace.  The HR operational capability needs to develop and scale commensurate with this growth. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the Senior HR Operations Manager will provide strategic and operational expertise in all aspects of human resources operational capability, including Benefits design and administration, Payroll (including contingent workforce), Leave of Absence, Compliance and Vendor Management.

This role will have high visibility within our organization and requires the ability to develop and manage Human Resources processes based on high growth business demands, as well as a desire to execute and deliver with best in class customer support. This individual should be highly organized, and possess an executive presence and gravitas necessary to gain the trust and confidence of leadership, management, and employee base. He/She will demonstrate highly effective communication, organization and will champion the company’s core values.

  • Develop appropriate HR and administrative policies, programs, processes and systems to support a growing, entrepreneurial and fast-paced business with a distributed national US workforce

  • Drive the research, design, and implementation for the optimum HR Operational model

  • Lead the HR Operations function ( Benefits design and administration, Payroll, Leave of Absence, Compliance and Vendor Management) with a true passion giving amazing customer service to our employees

  • Ensure legal compliance is continually being met and drive resolution for complex employee issues that come from a distributed workforce

  • Continually assess the competitiveness of company benefits programs and practices across our all offices and against relevant companies, industries, regions, and markets


  • BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or in a related field

  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience with at least 3-5 years of experience leading the direction of the HR Operations function for a growing company with a distributed workforce

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and best HR operations practices

  • Hands-on experience with all functional areas of HR including previous responsibility for managing HR Operations, Payroll, Benefits design and administration, Compensation administration, HRIS, Leave of Absence management, Workers Compensation administration, Onboarding, Training / Development, Hiring, Terminations, HR Programs, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience researching, designing, and managing HR Operations to scale. Ability to lead, influence, and motivate individuals and teams

  • Adept at managing a function charged with supporting a dispersed US workforce

  • Tactful collaboration and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and empathize with others and anticipate, respond, and pivot to the needs of the employees and business

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with total discretion

  • Knowledge of HRIS
