We are looking for a high energy, analytical, results driven Human Resources Generalist with payroll experience who will be responsible for administration of payroll, HRIS systems functionality and configuration, and HR reporting. This individual will perform additional general HR administration required for a growing company.
Administering employee leave and benefit programs e. Keeps updated on current industry practices, developments, and government regulations related to employee leave provisions. Identifies issues and concerns as they arise and proactively recommends a plan for resolution.
Interprets and understands all relevant and required documentation for certifying or denying leaves according to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Provides timely and accurate information and responses to employees on general HR questions and concerns, empowering employees to utilize existing tools and resources.
Responsible for onboarding & off-boarding process.
Provide reports on HR metrics and goals.
Process all aspects of payroll. Including, responding to all payroll related questions from managers and employees.
Serve as systems administrator for the Payroll, Timekeeping, and Business Intelligence/Reporting applications in HRIS; acts as a control point for the payroll processing.
Identify areas of opportunity to improve existing processes and functionality, and improve data management and efficiency.
Provide specialized technical expertise regarding HR systems, data maintenance, accuracy, auditing and reporting tools.
Ensure policies and procedures are in compliance with applicable regulations, including FLSA laws, State Labor Codes and tax regulations. Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws and reporting requirements (EEO, VETS, AAP, 1094/1095-C, and other reporting as requested).
Serve as an internal resource and point of contact for issues involving FMLA, Workers Compensation and Americans with Disabilities Act
Ensure payroll liabilities are met on time by verifying and reporting on employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
Assist with setting up new earnings and deduction codes, pay rules, holiday schedules, accrual profiles, etc.
Lead HRIS projects related to systems, data, process development and related issues across the full spectrum of HR support areas
Minimum 2-3 years of HR Generalist and HR Operations experience including payroll and benefits administration preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
Possess an extraordinary desire to contribute to the overall employee experience.
Knowledge of employment related and compliance legislation including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL, ADA, FLSA, FEHA and EEOC.
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees and management
Can demonstrate high level of professionalism & impeccable discretion with confidential information
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated proficiency using G-Suite preferred
Experience and familiarity with PEO model like Trinet helpful
Experience with various payroll systems, policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration and/or PHR certification preferred
