Doctor on Demand is seeking a Head of Human Resources for an organization that has doubled in size to over 400 in two years with a large virtual workforce in 40+ states. This position is an integral part of the extended leadership team.
As the HR Leader of the fastest growing virtual healthcare company you will need to have a passion for building an HR function that is proactive, results-oriented, and operates with a sense of urgency. Experience in building for scale in the healthcare industry a plus. The position has total oversight and responsibility for managing the day-to-day departmental Human Resource functions and oversight of staff. The Head of HR will be responsible for all people functions within Doctor On Demand. The selected candidate will have hands on experience performing and managing all functional area of human resources, such as, full cycle recruitment, employee relations, compensation management, benefits administration, HR operations and systems, regulatory compliance, leave management and employee engagement.
The ideal candidate would be agile in moving from tactical to strategic at any given time.
The Head of HR plays a key role in helping to build a dynamic employee culture where employees are engaged and find long-term career success. The position also serves as an Ambassador and Change Agent for promoting the company’s overarching Vision, Mission and Core Values.
As the Head of HR, you’ll lead and continue to build our People and Culture organization.
What You Bring:
10+ years of people operations or human resources experience including 5+ years of HR management experience, preferably in fast growth small to medium size multi-state companies.
Strong HR functional expertise; knowledgeable on employment law matters, employment legislation, and compliance management
Outstanding communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to communicate effectively to all stakeholders (managers and employees alike)
Comfortable as a “hands-on” manager and willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills while exercising sound judgement
Proven experience handling confidential and sensitive information with the ability to exercise discretion and show good judgment; honesty, integrity, and trust building behaviors in all dealings is essential and required.
Effective time management and organization skills
Experience implementing HR programs, processes, and systems for scale and service
Health care experience and comfortable with G-suite applications helpful
