Job Description:We are looking for a resourceful, driven, team player with a competitive spirit, and strong business acumen to help our customers reach new levels of customer success. The ideal candidate has experience doing deep levels of discovery and objection handling at every level. This role requires engaging with customers at every level of the sales cycle, from account planning, through the development of the deal, to the close of business, and beyond. The Head of Account Management is responsible for retention, account growth, and the use of new products and services for existing accounts in the assigned book of business to achieve membership, utilization and customer satisfaction targets. This role owns the creation and execution of annual account plans that position Doctor On Demand to optimize our opportunities across the book of business. This role develops and implements marketing/account/book of business strategies and tactics which enhance Doctor On Demand’s position in the market and lead to account growth.  This is a senior position, reporting to the CMO and based in San Francisco.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently directs the collaboration in the development and execution of all strategic and tactical plans to achieve optimal growth potential and optimal business partnership in each account

  • Proactively identifies membership growth, retention, and expansion opportunities through analysis of our customers' business objectives, industries, and the dynamics of the healthcare/benefits market

  • Positions the organization competitively to ensure optimal membership growth and to protect against losses

  • Identifies and communicates early indicators of risks and opportunities

  • Presents issues to executives in the form of a business case, which assesses membership and financial impact along with other relevant factors

  • Guides team to develop 365 strategies and Open Enrollment engagement plans to achieve growth targets

  • Leads and manages the account team to achieve a consistent experience,  develop specific account plans, and direct daily activities to achieve account goals

  • Identifies and analyzes current industry and competitor trends and applies knowledge of marketplace to account planning processes

  • Collaborates with designated leadership and internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategic account plans to build successful partnerships with customers

  • Provides strategic recommendations to the design of new products, benefits offering, or pricing models that will address customer needs and business challenges

  • Evaluates customer needs and proactively develops appropriate solutions linking Doctor on Demand’s mission, vision and core values

  • Proficiently leverages use of support staff including Account Managers to optimize execution and time management

  • Continuously monitors performance against plan adjusting as market and Doctor On Demand imperatives dictate

 

Experience:

  • Ten to fifteen years of experience in account-based marketing, sales, account management or health care administration and benefits

  • Experience selling into employers, human resources, and benefits leaders

  • Demonstrated success in selling and growing accounts, as indicated by activity level and product utilization (feature, depth, and breadth)

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, or business administration

  • Experienced in meeting individual business objectives

  • Superior customer service skills with the ability to articulate and respond to highly complex issues

  • Advanced computer and analytic skills, including experience creating client presentations using Microsoft Office programs and use of client databases

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion skills

  • Effective account management skills

  • Expertise in handling difficult client issues
