Internal Application: Customer Marketing Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Customer Marketing Manager to direct efforts to drive Customer Activation, engagement and utilization of Doctor On Demand at our health plan and employer accounts.  The Customer Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Field Marketing and will work closely with Account Managers and the internal Creative Team.  The Customer Success Manager will develop annual strategic/tactical marketing plans for select strategic accounts; and create scalable, customizable assets and communication plans for other accounts.  The Customer Success Manager will also respond to incoming opportunities, provide strategic leadership, and execute with excellence.  Registration and utilization campaign planning and execution leveraging digital and offline tactics will be an important responsibility for the position, as will gathering and reporting out metrics for campaigns and adjusting strategy and tactics based on those metrics.

The Customer Marketing Manager will lead delivery of actionable insights for increasing the ROI of our customer focused marketing strategies and tactics.  He/She will be expected to understand the principles of branding and implications for creative elements and content.  He/She will collaborate with the product, marketing, sales, finance, and technology organizations to deliver on overall business objectives.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Annual/biannual strategic planning in conjunction with Account Managers, laying out Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Tactics to deliver on registration or utilization metrics.  Present marketing plans to customers as part of regular business reviews.

  • Manage online customer portal for downloading customizable marketing materials and optimize usage.  Ensure 1) customers are aware of the portal and understand seasonal campaign timing, 2) materials are created and uploaded on time for seasonal customer campaign execution, and 3) Doctor On Demand is able to gather and act on insights coming from portal.

  • Work with Creative team to develop or customize marketing assets for customer use.  Follow the creative process leveraging creative briefs.

  • Develop marketing campaigns for strategic customers to drive member registration and usage of the Doctor On Demand service.  Leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other CRM software to create assets, send, and report metrics.

  • Develop strategy for attendance at customer benefit fairs during annual enrollment period.  Manage attendance, deliver customized collateral and give aways.  Manage staffing of benefit fairs by Doctor On Demand personnel.

  • Brand Stewardship, ensure Doctor on Demand’s strategic brand positioning is reflected in all customer marketing communications.

  • Budget Management, ensure responsible, timely spending against established annual operating budgets for relevant activities.


Job Requirements:

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional planning, organizational and communication skills

  • Experience managing and leading cross functional teams with proven success

  • Superior written and oral communication skills

  • Strong collaboration skills, clear team player, can-do attitude

  • Track record of success working alongside Sales organization

  • Strong excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience using CRM software such as Salesforce/Marketing Cloud

  • Detail oriented, deliver with the highest quality

  • Strong multi-tasking skill- Innovative thinker, with an eye to developing new solutions and tools

  • Comfortable in fast-paced, resource-lean environments

  • CPG Brand and/or Trade Marketing from blue-chip companies is highly valued

  • 3-5 years of experience in Marketing

  • Strong preference for tech/mobile industry experience and healthcare/benefits experience

  • Start-up experience is a plus

  • MBA Preferred
