We have a great opportunity for an experienced, passionate storyteller and product marketer with 10+ years experience to join the executive team in a strategic leadership role. Reporting to the CEO, this is a critical position that will have a direct hand in driving the next phase of growth at Directly. This is an exceptional opportunity to help define the product and competitive positioning, messaging and go to market strategy for an emerging and transformative category, and be a driving force at the forefront of AI and customer experience innovation. As the Head of Product Marketing, you will collaborate with our marketing, sales, product, and support teams to deliver effective messaging, content, and tools to our key audiences, including prospects, customers, partners, and customer experts.
Messaging & Positioning: Develop product positioning and messaging for different personas
Go to market product launches - plan and implement the strategy for new product launches, collaborating with sales, customer success and Directly’s leadership team to ensure well-coordinated execution.
Sales enablement: communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products including creating content, assets, and tools such as sales presentations, ROI tools, pitch decks, demos, competitive briefs and other materials
Marketing content - support demand generation and content marketing campaigns with expertly crafted content that speaks to each target vertical and persona
Market intelligence – be the expert on Directly’s customers in each segment, how they buy and their buying criteria; use this knowledge to inform product messaging, brand differentiation, marketing content and sales training.
Competitive Intelligence and Analysis: establish the competitive intel core competency and be the “go to” expert on how to crush the competition and how to win
Analyst Relations: drive engagement with key industry analysts and ensure our story is understood and represented in their reports
Evangelism AI intelligence - be a thought leader and spokesperson for the company at key industry events, in webinars and interviews
10+ years B2B marketing experience, with minimum 3 years in a product marketing leadership role. Have developed the positioning and messaging for products that serve multiple use cases and personas
Ability to drive projects and teams, cross organizationally, realizing high quality, well communicated, predictable outcomes
Expert at creating visually compelling, engaging presentations that distill complicated concepts into succinct stories.
Extensive experience developing and validating positioning, category creation, messaging, and competitive segmentation.
Proven leader who can create a trusted relationship/partnership with sales, marketing, and product teams, as well as customers and partners
Proven ability to deliver content – including presentations, datasheets, white papers, blog posts, web content, etc.
Self-motivated with a true passion for product marketing and marketplace platforms and a strong work ethic
Strong analytical and synthesis skills, high intellectual power
Excellent listening, oral and written communication/presentation skills
Domain expertise in customer service, Enterprise solutions and/ or AI at an early and late-stage start-up
BA/BS degree and/or MBA from a top-tier institution preferred
