Vice President - Service Product Management

Operations | Hybrid | Full Time | From $200,000.00 to $275,000.00 per year

Job Description

DirectDefense is actively seeking a Vice President of Service Product Management to bolster our team and drive innovation in our service offerings. This role is foundational to the success of DirectDefense, and is responsible for defining and supporting the development of a world-class and competitively differentiated portfolio of Security Consulting and Managed Security Services, executing DirectDefense’s over-arching strategy.

The VP, of Services Product Management (SPM) will be a key strategic stakeholder and contributor to the overall services portfolio vision, and responsible for executing this vision with the other members of the leadership team.

The SPM will manage the development and continuous improvement of the services portfolio, ensuring tight alignment with the ThreatAdvisor roadmap. ThreatAdvisor (TA) is DirectDefense’s flagship services delivery platform and insights engine, over time becoming a key IP and a differentiator for the company. Effective interlock with the TA product management function, service delivery leaders, and sales and alliance management are critical to success, as are deep insight into customer trends, market shifts, challenges, and needs.

Working closely with delivery management, the SPM will ensure the direction of portfolio development is supported by required hiring and training, market-appropriate pricing and offer constructs, and methodology development, to drive revenue and bookings growth to meet annual plans.

The SPM will define mechanisms to continuously receive field and customer feedback on the efficacy of the portfolio and customer satisfaction, through both customer visits and regular meetings with delivery consultants/teams. This field feedback will provide critical input to developing a market-leading portfolio.

The SPM will have an extremely detailed understanding of the assigned technical domain and the associated regional market(s) to which they are assigned. This includes deep relationships with the analyst community.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and understand customer trends, challenges, and needs, and translate them into a competitive service portfolio that delivers genuine business outcomes, value, and differentiation to our customers.
  • Ownership of the assigned services portfolio, continuously working to validate and improve the defined services and pricing strategy and finding critical "white space" to differentiate the company in the market
  • Ensure the appropriate "verticalization" of the portfolio is achieved, via methodology adjustments and GTM collateral as required; understand regional nuances and compliance requirements and ensure they are appropriately incorporated into the portfolio

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in executive product management leadership
  • A Bachelor's degree; MBA or Master’s degree with Technology or Business focus preferred
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity space.
  • Proven capability in constructing and overseeing teams to achieve OKRs and KPIs.
  • Proficiency in owning and managing a service portfolio, including continuous validation and improvement of services, pricing strategies, and differentiation tactics.
  • Explore and grasp the trends, challenges, and needs of customers to transform them into actionable insights for the development of service portfolios, guaranteeing that products align with the dynamic demands of the market.
  • Ability to work with C-level executives and other leaders to ensure cross-technology synergies are communicated effectively.
  • Proficiency in leading quarterly business reviews, representing the services portfolio during strategic planning sessions, and aligning the portfolio with broader company strategy.
  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape, including market players, product launches, and acquisition activities, and ability to translate this knowledge into actionable insights.
  • Ability to define processes for soliciting regular feedback from delivery teams and customers and incorporating this feedback into methodology improvements and portfolio adjustments.
  • Proficiency in regularly meeting with clients to understand market perceptions and ensure client satisfaction.
