Vice President of Professional Services
Professional Services | Remote | Full Time | From $225,000 to $275,000 per year

The Vice President of Professional Services is responsible for the day-to-day management of our various professional service teams. This includes our penetration testing services teams for Application, Cloud, and Enterprise/Netpen disciplines, Compliance services teams, and OT/SCADA security consulting teams. This VP position is responsible for meeting each team’s Profit & Loss (P&L) goals throughout the year, adjusting service delivery, managing hiring, and steering organizational strategy as required to ensure both the attainment of financial goals and also maintaining the excellence in quality of our services and customer satisfaction goals. The role guides new service development through strategic alignment with our operations, marketing, and sales teams. This position is a key executive team member and will work closely with key roles throughout the company to ensure the company’s success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the consulting services P&L - As an overall business unit and at a practice level.
- Manage the Practice and Delivery Managers responsible for managing the practice areas.
- Drive internal professional services processes to ensure delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Work with the operations team and the project managers, ensuring appropriate oversight and revenue forecast accuracy.
- Work with the COO and Senior Director, of Operations to define required sales training; develop content and execute training as required.
- Work with the VP of Services Product Management, building services development and Labs roadmaps.
- Support appropriate marketing and PR activities and collateral development.
- Ensure services’ strategic and marketplace alignment, acceptance, and competitive advantage.
- Liaise closely with the HR to define and execute hiring strategies, drive team growth, and participate in candidate evaluations.
- Provide technical thought leadership and facilitate company-wide input.
- Contribute to the greater security community and oversee thought leadership agendas, ensuring a fit with corporate priorities.
- Perform outbound facing functions including evangelism, conference attendance, and writing; help establish the company's perception as a thought and industry leader.
- Attend sales calls as an executive sponsor and support sales team success.
- Provide subject matter expertise to the executive team for industry behavior and trends.
- Provide direct sales support and technical coordination for mission-critical customers and prospects.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with coworkers and peers.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of consulting or technical experience within the IT or security industry, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five years of P&L management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership excellence.
- Exemplary command of the English language, both oral and written.
Education Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree; MBA or Master’s degree with Technology or Business focus preferred

Per applicable state laws requiring salary transparency, DirectDefense provides a reasonable compensation range for this role. The estimated salary range for this position is $225,000 to $275,000 per year with an annual bonus package. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location.
