Operations Administrator

Operations | Hybrid in Englewood, CO | Full Time | From $50,000 to $60,000 per year

Job Description

DirectDefense is looking for an Office Administrator to join our dynamic team. As an Operations Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive support to our accounting and HR functions, ensuring seamless administrative operations for executives and various business units. This position demands a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail, as you will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency of our office environment. Operations Administrator Duties:

Taxes – Setup, maintain, and complete necessary filings for the following:

  • Withholding/SUTA via Paycom
  • Monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales tax
  • Necessary Annual filings
  • Works with TaxOps on Federal filing
  • Reconcile all tax notices

New Employee Onboarding:

  • Work directly with the HR Generalist
  • Initiate background and drug screens
  • Complete the onboarding process in Paycom and collect the necessary information
  • Send out New Hire Welcome Gift
  • Send out Employee Anniversary Gifts quarterly

Administration:

  • Managing and updating company databases
  • Maintaining financial, employee, and client records
  • Building and maintaining reports and dashboards for leadership
  • Expense report creation for President and Chief Operating Officer
  • Order necessary supplies for HQ
  • Organize events, schedule meetings, and make travel arrangements
  • Providing administrative support to other departments or projects as needed

Required Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as an Operations Administrator or in a similar position.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask.

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, DirectDefense provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $50,000 to $60,000 per year with an annual bonus.
