Digimarc is seeking a Program Manager. This position reports to sales and will work integrally with product management, partner management, client services and sales to provide technical expertise and project management know-how. This role will need to navigate not only technical challenges, but also identify opportunities to ensure we over-deliver against our customers’ needs and expectations.  The Program Manager will also act as an advisor to our customers and partners in order to help link our technology with priorities and organizational needs, providing measurable business value.  This role will also act as a trusted customer advocate internally and further our organizational understanding of our customer’s and partner`s needs. It is imperative that the candidate demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business, products and technical challenges.



Some of the duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Partner with sales team to formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue and customer expectations
  • Educate customers and partners on the value proposition and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure our solutions are designed for successful deployment
  • Provide technical specification to sales team to support sales proposals and recommendations
  • Act as a project manager to ensure the implementation of the project on time and within budget
  • Support the technical needs of existing customers, including discovering additional use cases for technology
  • Based on customer needs, act as a customer liaison between the customers and product teams to help evolve solutions
  • Act as the liaison between with the sales, product management, marketing and the customer
  • Assist our partners on technical questions, feasibility analysis and other business development activities
  • Establish key relationships with client stakeholders and their supply chain
  • Must adopt keen understanding of client processes and requirements covering hardware requirements within the retail store, supply chain responsibilities, color standards, press approvals

  • Proven project and relationship management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives, requiring outstanding time management and organizational skills 
  • Strong written and oral communication, including presentation skills and ability to translate technical jargon
  • Customer orientation and ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and result oriented
  • Experience in software development, retail technology or packaging/print industry is a plus
  • Ability to quickly absorb new technologies
  • Manage relationships with customers for successful project delivery
  • Liaise with partners to solve issues, communicate needs and create synergy
  • Analyze and report on partner initiatives, work with strategic partner managers to identify key issues, customize global programs to local needs and report on key metrics
  • Ability to work extended hours and travel when required

  • 5 to 10 years’  experience in the retail industry specifically in an account management/project management role that required hi-level customer engagement
  • Bachelor degree in associated field preferred
  • Experience in packaging/print industry is a strong plus
  • Strong track record in delivering value to customers
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce and agile practices a plus
  • Language requirements: Native German, fluent English
  • PMP certification is a plus
