THE CHALLENGE…

We are seeking an HR Generalist to be an integral part of our small, fast-paced, and collaborative HR team. You will be responsible for performing HR-related duties in a professional environment and working closely across the HR team and company. As an HR Generalist, you will carry out responsibilities in the functional areas of recruiting, onboarding, compensation, policy and system maintenance, and overall HR compliance. The HR team works collaboratively and supporting employees across the organization at all levels, answering questions, and providing guidance regarding HR policies and procedures. This position has no direct reports and reports directly to the VP of Human Resources.

WHAT YOU WILL DO…

  • Staffing & Recruiting: Job analysis and design, creating and circulating job descriptions, sourcing candidates, recruitment, selection, working directly with hiring managers and making hiring recommendations, managing and maintaining ATS (JobScore), diversity reporting, reporting and coordination with HR team throughout recruiting process. Help design and facilitate new employee onboarding programs
  • Compensation: Maintain and update job descriptions, review salary surveys, assist VP with maintaining salary administration plan, ensure compliance with various wage and hour laws
  • HR Compliance: Ensure organization is compliant with all employment related laws (federal, state, and local). Complete mandatory reporting, ensure appropriate postings, prepare policies and maintain electronic employee handbook and retention polices, maintain employee files (electronic & paper). Maintain internal HR documentation related to company programs and policies. Maintain knowledge, awareness and actively provide guidance to HR management of all federal, state, and local labor and wage and hour laws and upcoming changes. Implement required compliance for labor and employment laws
  • HRIS: Maintain accurate employee records in ADP Workforce Now and other applicable systems, ensure data integrity and completeness of workforce information. Provide regular and ad hoc HR data analysis and reports
  • Continually support, drive, and implement efficiencies in HR business processes
  • Performs other human resources duties as needed or requested by management

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR…

  • 5+ years’ experience in recruiting, HR generalist or related role in HR
  • Degree or equivalent experience desired
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems. ADP WorkforceNow and ATS experience is a plus
  • Proven ability to appropriately manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize in a changing environment
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and respond to incoming inquiries quickly and accurately
  • Experience building strong internal and external relationships
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-awareness, the ability to be self-critical and a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Self-directed and motivated
  • Must be able to cope with conflicting points of view, function under pressure, and demonstrate discretion, integrity, fair-mindedness, and a persuasive, congenial personality
