Solutions Engineer

Diffbot’s Solutions Engineer works in between the sales and technical support functions to provide prospects and customers with technical solutions for their data needs. From providing professional services to on-boarding new technical customers to evangelizing Diffbot’s newest offerings, the Solutions Engineer works in the sales process to help optimize technical adoption of Diffbot’s data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Data Solutions team on helping drive technical customer adoption of Diffbot by providing guidance and setup for technical solutions; translate technical user requirements into customer specific data solutions

  • Become a trusted technical advisor for the customer through providing guidance on customer’s technical evaluation of Diffbot products through both product demonstrations and feature validation

  • Assist in the development of technical content for new and existing business opportunities

 

Required Experience

  • Familiarity and proficiency in using Diffbot APIs (Automatic APIs, Custom API, Crawlbot)

  • Experience with Python, Linux, Bash, Javascript, web development, APIs/JSON/REST

  • Strong and clear communicator, good at managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders: technical, product, and business buyers

  • BS in Computer Science, or any equivalent certification

  • Be able to understand and successfully promote technical offerings and solutions

  • Passion and curiosity in how AI, machine learning, big data will revolutionize all industries

  • Strong knowledge of the competitive environment

  • Excellent verbal & written communications

  • Excellent presentation and white-boarding skills

  • Have experience with consultative technical sales

  • Exposure using Salesforce CRM
