The Field Finance Manager will join the Finance team as a trusted business partner to the global sales and service organization.  This role will report to the VP of Finance and be responsible for driving key field finance deliverables, which include providing operational performance insights, preparing executive reporting packages, driving annual planning & budgeting, and supporting the monthly & quarterly close processes and variance reporting.  You should have extensive experience as a finance business partner for sales and services functions.   You will play a pivotal role in scaling and automating the processes to support the high growth of Dialpad.  

We are seeking someone who possesses great attention to detail, has a strong understanding of accounting, finance and sales processes and a high aptitude for working with cross-functional teams to drive accurate and efficient results.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strategic thinker, great communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents in a dynamic fast-paced environment.


  • Develop deep understanding of field organization landscape and partner with leaders to align business and financial goals

  • Proactively manage the planning and forecasting processes across the field organization, for bookings, revenue, delivery costs, operating costs and margins

  • Align with Revenue Operations to manage the planning, forecasting and management of budget across the revenue organization, to ensure overall spend balances financial targets while funding strategic growth goals

  • Deliver monthly/quarterly quantitative and qualitative analysis of the business' top and bottom line financial results and KPI’s including variances to plan, ensuring key issues, risks, and business drivers are understood and highlighted

  • Provide insightful and actionable recommendations for decision making through data analysis that identifies improvement opportunities and cost efficiencies

  • Drive incentive compensation planning process and administration

  • Own accuracy of company wide ACV and TCV bookings attainment, including deal validation and rolling backlog

  • Identify transactions with contingent revenue implications, or less desirable revenue/margin profiles, and work with revenue accounting on resolution and closure

  • Responsible for design, build and maintenance of CRM and other sales and services systems and tools

  • Support sales management as needed for activities such as territory and account management assignments

  • Manage 1 sales analyst and 1 Salesforce Administrator


  • Strong grasp of concepts and processes in accounting and finance (billing and A/R, general ledger, revenue recognition, planning and budgeting, financial reporting, audit) and sales operations

  • Limited supervision is provided, as this individual can operate, drive results, and set priorities independently

  • Extensive experience with incentive compensation design and administration

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Flexible, fast learner who thrives in a dynamic work environment

  • Team player with excellent communication skills with all levels of organization

  • Sound judgment for driving prioritization on decisions based on business impact

  • Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills and experience with CRM, planning, commission and ERP systems such as Salesforce and Intacct.

  • At least 8 years of work experience, including substantial experience providing financial support for a field organization

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field; MBA or CPA a plus
