Director of Sales Enablement

As the Director of Sales Enablement, you report to the CRO and collaborate closely with sales, marketing, product and sales ops professionals around the globe. You are responsible for analyzing sales performance, designing initiatives to improve sales productivity, driving and overseeing the sales new hire onboarding process and the knowledge and skillset development of the existing sales force. You will join Dialpad’s team responsible for delivering sales training and enablement activities worldwide.

You are passionate about sales, you know and appreciate how sales professionals are motivated, and how to help them become more effective in their craft. You have also been part of a successful SaaS company and key leader of Sales Enablement.  

You will evaluate the existing sales onboarding program and take it to the next level, decreasing ramp times, while ensuring our new reps and partners sell Dialpad with our culture, values, and prime use cases top of mind. You are energized not only by being a catalyst for those ah-ha moments during the first 90 days, but by the transformation that happens when the right people find the right company and they get it – and the magic happens. Your success will be measured by your ability to effectively increase the quality and quantity of deals from our new hires, enhance the skillset of new sales reps to drive sales results, decrease time to ramp, and scale a simple, global onboarding program.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a needs analysis and develop/enhance an “experiencial” based sales new hiring training & ongoing enablement curriculum

  • Build sales certifications program

  • Design and expand current sales training design and delivery practices to incorporate the most innovative techniques being deployed by role model companies.

  • Ensure training initiatives are aligned with company objectives and goals

  • Establish and maintain formal and informal key performance indicators to track effectiveness of sales training program and initiatives

  • Identify and refine onboarding requirements at 30, 60, 90, 180 & 365 days of a new hire’s journey, across all sales segments and roles

  • Manage and maintain new hire sales enablement structure, execution, and overall training content and resources

  • Partner and build meaningful relationships across Dialpad globally to understand the sales organization’s needs, gain buy-in on Enablement plans, and execute enablement programs

  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to meet sales enablement need

  • Occasionally travel to various regions to deliver sales training courses

  • Collaborate with sales operations and sales leadership to host annual sales kickoff (global), regional sales meetings (annual), bootcamps, and ongoing training Host and deliver sales training sessions both on general sales skills as well as company and product specific training

Requirements:

  • BA/BS required. MA/MBA preferred

  • 4+ years of SaaS company experience

  • 4+ years of formal sales training experience

  • 2-4 years of Sales experience, preferred

  • 3-4 years coaching and/or leading the actual training experience/sales enablement for a SaaS sales organization

  • Proven project management capabilities

  • Strong ability to deliver and facilitate training for small and large groups, both in-person and virtually, across a globally diverse audience base

  • Strong reputation working with interdisciplinary teams as being innovative, accountable, reliable, and able to thrive in a constantly changing environment

Knowledge:

  • Knowledgeable in innovative sales training techniques and overall selling process and lifecycle including identifying prospects, solution selling, negotiation skills, objection handling, meeting management, and post-sale efforts

  • Instructional design and curriculum development experience

  • Proficient in LMS systems, information learning tools, communities and web conferencing tools

  • Experience with Sales Hood a plus
